A city on North Hill, above the Puyallup River valley, with Fife to its west and Puyallup below it to the south. Incorporated in 1996.
The Where row is short and recent. Edgewood became a city in 1996, and it sits on the rise known locally as North Hill, looking across the Puyallup River valley to South Hill on the far side. Milton, its neighbour to the north-west, shares the same hill, Fife lies to the west, Federal Way to the north and Puyallup below to the south.
The Houses row stays broad because the hill keeps changing. Edgewood’s population grew markedly between the last two censuses, so an older house and a new one can stand on the same road with kitchens that have nothing in common.
