Foam, film and wet dishes

The manual traces it to dishes washed by hand in dishwashing liquid and loaded without a rinse, since hand detergents carry no antifoam; to rinse aid spilled while the reservoir was being filled; and to a reservoir lid left open. Its advice is to skip the hand wash altogether and simply scrape heavy soil off under the tap.
Dishes that come out wet are the second. The same manual looks first at the rinse aid indicator, then at short programmes, which rinse cooler and so dry less, and then at unloading too soon. Open the door a little at the end, let the steam out, and empty the lower rack before the upper one. Water beading on non-stick pans is normal and no fault at all.
